How long are loveseats on average?
Do you need apartment-sized furniture? Or need a second place for your guests to sit, but don’t need a large sofa?
A loveseat could be the perfect option to add comfy, cozy seating in your living room.
There is no standard loveseat width or length. You can find a loveseat in a variety of sizes, depending on the manufacturer, to accommodate different size rooms.
As a general rule of thumb, though: Most loveseats range from 48” to 72” long.
They’re most commonly about 36” deep and 36” high.
Think of a loveseat as a smaller version of a sofa, designed to seat one or two people. It has two cushions, as opposed to a sofa that has three.
They’re most popular in small living spaces – like an apartment, loft or studio. If the room is big enough, it is often paired with a complementary chair or sofa.
Just like other living room furniture, select loveseats have additional features or functionalities, including:
- Convertible bed
- USB ports
- Power headrests
- Power recline
At Watson’s, select loveseats come with dual power, power headrest, power recline or even triple power.
If you think you want a loveseat recliner, keep that in mind when measuring your space. You’ll need to allow enough clearance for the loveseat to move.
