The biggest advantage of choosing a round table shape is that all your guests will be able easily see one another and participate in the conversation. A round table makes everyone feel equal and important. There’s no head of the table or “good side” to sit on.
It’s best to choose a round dining table for a smaller dining room. Large round tables can make guests feel distant from one another, which can be especially frustrating since friends and family may have to shout in order to be heard.

Oval
